According to a recent survey done by Flurry the average person has over 65 apps installed on their phone.

With an average price just under two-dollars, app companies are making their fortune off of micro-purchases. “Most apps are impulse buys. Customers want something and with a price tag lower than a typical cup of coffee and their credit card on file, there is nothing stopping them,” says Brandon Schoen, President of the mobile app development and publishing company, Fast Lane Apps, based in the loft of an Albuquerque art studio.

Although having an app developed and published is no simple task, more and more are joining the digital race, knowing that big money is available for the taking. “You have the whole world as your audience,” says Schoen. “It’s like that old saying, ‘If everyone in the world gave you a dollar…’ that’s exactly our goal, except we will be giving ten times more value when you download our apps”
