Major League Investments Predicts Obama, Brown, Tisei Victories

"These picks are not endorsements, just our best guess on how things will pan out in Tuesday's election."
- Gary Coon

Major League Investments has announced its Election Eve Predictions for the 2012 Election. The firm is predicting Obama will hold on to win the electoral college, and thus the presidency. Contrary to most current polls, Major League Investments makes a wild card pick that US Senator Scott Brown will earn reelection by the Massachusetts voters. On a more local basis, the firm predicts former State Senate Minority Leader, Richard Tisei, will defeat incumbent Congressman John Tierney, for the 6th congressional district seat. Finally, Major League Investments predicts status quo in Congress with Democrats holding their majority in the US Senate and Republicans maintaining the majority in the US House of Representatives.

“Over the past several months, we’ve been looking at the historical economic & political factors that impact elections.” said Managing Director, Gary Coon, a former member the Massachusetts House of Representatives. “These picks are not endorsements, just our best guess on how things will pan out in Tuesdsay’s election.”

"Some factors, like a double-digit election year gain in the S&P and the traditional advantages of incumbency, would argue Obama has the advantage for reelection. Other factors, such as stubbornly high unemployment near 8%, would indicate the likelihood that voters will choose a change in administration and vote for Romney. Finally there are the impact of debates and grassroots organization.” explained CEO, Michael Finer. “Although we’ve made our best assessment on the results for tomorrow’s election, we’ve been scenario planning the various possible outcomes to help make investment decisions moving forward. Some of the sectors that potentially may perform well under Obama include hard assets and healthcare, and under Romney may include defense, energy and financials.”
