Veterans Scholarship Deadine Extended to December 1
Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 06, 2012
Due to the outstanding response from veteran applicants, the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, a non-profit veterans service organization that focuses on helping men and women who serve and return home wounded or sick after defending our safety and our freedom, will be extending its veterans scholarship application deadline to December 1.
This $1,000 scholarship is for the spring semester for veterans in need of assistance. It is paid directly to the accredited institution of the recipient’s choice and is intended to pay for tuition costs that may not be covered by the GI Bill.
The initial deadline for the DVNF scholarship was November 1st, but the organization continues to receive applications for the award, and has decided to extend the deadline to cater to the needs of the veterans who are still applying.
Decisions will be made in December, and checks will be mailed to the recipients’ colleges in January for the spring semester. For more information on how to apply, visit the DVNF Scholarship page.
