This is truly a one of a kind opportunity... and it's quickly become an iconic fixture in the downtown landscape.

The newly named Kia Parking Center, after its sponsor Kia Motors America, converts an open air parking garage into a monumental 60 ft. high by 350 ft. building wrap. In addition to the massive exterior presence, Kia Motors’ ongoing business relationship with the garage also allows for over 100 custom media placements within the structure along with preferred parking areas for Kia drivers, event space, and endless possibilities for the sponsor. The Outdoor Link along with the facility owner worked timeless hours with the city to get this accomplished—every step of the way was ground breaking.
“The Kia Garage Domination not only made an impact on corporate sponsor KIA Motors America, but on the City of Cleveland as a well,” said Michael Spoto, Business Development Director for The Outdoor Link. “With the creation of a corporate envelope around an eight-story parking garage, it was amazing how quickly everyone began referring to the garage as the ‘Kia Garage’ when the structure had been there for the past 20 years. It lacked any sort of identification prior to this development. People applauded the design, and it’s quickly become an iconic fixture in the downtown landscape.”
Michael Spoto reminds us that “this is truly a one of a kind opportunity that cannot be duplicated. Due to the geographic location of the garage, and its proximity to Lake Erie, the garage faced unprecedented weather conditions; however, through hard work from the team, the concept to create a building wrap enabled the garage to be protected by a giant weather shield, protecting not only the structure but the public as a whole. This project illustrates the City of Cleveland’s commitment to business and property owners and how a vision can come to life while a building can take on the identity of a sponsor and be marveled at.” Michael states, “the panels were so large that the engineering behind it was a monumental task. The graphics installed tell the story of Kia and depict a fun and exciting environment from the exterior to the interior of the garage as every floor is named after another Kia Automobile.” The interior was wrapped in a multitude of areas, including: Elevator Wraps, Entrance Wall Wraps, Garage Door, Parking Signs, Retail Showroom, Stair Wraps, Steel Headers, and other areas.
The Kia Parking Center is located on 12th Street in downtown Cleveland not far from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it also acts as supplemental parking for the fans of the Cleveland Browns on game days.
