Strategic Capital attended the event as a sponsor and exhibitor with both CEO David Meyerowitz and Vice President Ric Perez personally attending the show. Meyerowitz reflected on his and Perez’s experience, “Our interactions with attorneys and other exhibitors led to a better understanding by all concerned of why and when clients need financial solutions post-settlement.”

Meyerowitz discussed some of the issues faced by attorneys when guiding their clients in post settlement matters. He pointed out that clients don’t always call their attorney when they are in financial trouble and thinking about selling payments. But, he said that one of the main issues with helping clients is solving their financial problem. “If an annuitant calls and the attorney or structured settlement consultant doesn’t provide guidance to help solve the client’s financial problem, then the client will still sell those payments, but now it’s without any help or guidance.”
When asked how Strategic Capital fits into the picture, Meyerowitz explained that client service representatives take the time to talk with clients to understand why they’re selling payments as well as helping them consider and balance their current and future financial needs. He noted that Strategic Capital works hard to help clients find the best solution to their problem while still respecting the value of their structured settlement and its long term benefits to the client.
