eFolder is excited to introduce the industry’s first family of BDR appliances built specifically for the exacting needs of MSPs using Dell AppAssure software.
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) November 08, 2012
eFolder, a leading supplier of cloud data protection services for the IT channel, today announced the general availability of the eFolder BDR for Dell AppAssure at the ConnectWise IT Nation event in Orlando. The eFolder BDR for Dell AppAssure is a backup and disaster recovery appliance that bundles Dell AppAssure software and is pre-configured to work specifically with the eFolder Cloud. The combined hardware, software, and cloud services bundle from eFolder provides both on-site and off-site backup and recovery, along with cloud-based recovery in the eFolder Continuity Cloud. For MSPs, solution providers, and VARs looking to utilize Dell AppAssure software, eFolder supplies all the pieces partners need to build a thriving data protection business, including a purpose-built backup and recovery appliance; access to Dell AppAssure software licensing; integration with the eFolder Partner Portal for centralized monitoring and alerting, and the eFolder Cloud for public cloud replication and cloud recovery.
Utilizing Dell OEM hardware, the eFolder BDR for Dell AppAssure product family is powerful, flexible, and pre-configured for the demanding needs of MSPs and VARs. The eFolder BDRs feature the latest Intel Xeon processors, robust memory and storage configurations, and field upgradeability. The eFolder BDRs enable MSPs and VARs to backup locally and perform on-site virtualization for up to 40 servers with a single appliance in the maximum configuration. With both tower and rack mount models to choose from, MSPs and VARs can meet the needs of both small businesses and demanding mid-sized clients alike. Field upgradeability enables partners to customize configurations for unique deployments, while allowing additional RAM and storage add-on packs to be added as client needs grow. All of the eFolder BDR models come standard with eFolder’s approved software image, which includes the required Dell AppAssure “core” software, and are fully supported by eFolder’s U.S.-based support organization. Partners must license Dell AppAssure software agents for protected servers separately. All units also come with next business day on-site hardware replacement warranties through Dell’s global service delivery network, minimizing a partner’s labor costs and maximizing efficiency through warranty self-dispatch.
“eFolder is excited to introduce the industry’s first family of BDR appliances built specifically for the exacting needs of MSPs using Dell AppAssure software,” said Kevin Hoffman, eFolder CEO/CTO. “The high performance capabilities of these appliances match the power of Dell AppAssure software and will help eFolder partners deliver the industry’s most complete business continuity services.”
“eFolder simplifies my business operations by acting as a one-stop shop for my entire Dell AppAssure practice,” said Paul Licari, CEO at Network Connections, Inc.. “With this new eFolder BDR appliance, I can now source hardware, software, and the essential cloud services that we use to power our backup and disaster recovery services.”
