Brighton bands invade Unit 8, Soccer96, Saint Coltraine, Cousin, I Like The GOGO

The new ‘all-in-one’ sound studios Unit 8 in London Fields Hackney are proud to present the most talked about bands from Brighton. On Friday 30th November Unit 8 plays host to Soccer 96, Saint Coltrane & Cousin. Opening from 8pm late the recording studio, rehearsal studio and vinyl-pressing house by day transforms into a cosy pumping 130 cap party pad by night.

Headlining the Unit 8 stage this month 30/11/2012 are Soccer 96. The Brighton based double act Dan Leavers and Max Hallet are currently on the cusp of releasing their debut EP to the world, the duo have already attracted attention from BBC 6 Music and recently performed ‘The Dance of Shiva’ as part of a BBC Introducing session for Steve Lamacq. Soccer 96 tantalizingly takes listeners on an electronic exploration through a sea of synth loops, live drums and ghostly vocals. An absolute must see for fans of Flying Lotus & The Animal Collective - catch Soccer 96 live at Unit 8 recording studio as they set sail on the sea of stardom.

Heating up the Unit 8 stage via a barrage of blinding baselines, driving drum solos and vicious vocals are the savage yet sweet sounding Saint Coltrane. The threesome recently released their single Iron Dracula on a 7” split with Florida based Weird Wives and are currently making waves on the live circuit. Starting to circulate the scene in a similar manner are Cousin, the instrumental alternative rock 3 piece from Brighton who are set to supply their blissfully serene soundtracks to an audience of eager ears, last but not least the recently formed Brighton based 2 piece - I Like The GOGO bringing their Surf/Trash/British Garage/Blues/Tin Pop to the stage.

Supported by an amazing sound system, the Music Video Production crew record the action for Unit 8 TV so the bands & fans can replay the show in HD.
