Everyone can have friends if you are nice to them
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) November 07, 2012
A colorful fairy goes on a series of adventures that help teach an introverted daydreamer the meaning of friendship in “Magus And The Blue Fairy” (published by AuthorHouse), the brightly illustrated new children’s book by Maureen Lyall.
Once upon a time, a little man named Magus lived in his house all alone deep in the woods. He didn’t have a friend in the world; as a matter of fact, Magus didn’t see the need to have friends, period. He’d tried to befriend some neighbor boys, only to be met with ridicule and bullying.
An avid fisherman, Magus enjoyed spending most of his time alone fishing at the lake without the distractions of others. His life was forever changed one day after a chance encounter with a magical being.
An excerpt from “Magus And The Blue Fairy”:
“One day while walking on the rocky road to the lake, Magus was deep in thought, and failed to see the Blue Fairy appear in front of him. The Blue Fairy was the fairy who took care of the people of the woods, and was named Blue, because she always wore blue clothes and carried a blue wand. The Blue Fairy was concerned with Magnus’ lack of friends and was determined that Magus should become more social.”
The Blue Fairy asked Magus if she could accompany him on his fishing venture, and, after some reluctance, he finally agreed. Much to his surprise, he found himself enjoying having company out on the lake and eagerly listened to the Blue Fairy’s stories about her travels to different countries.
“Everyone can have friends if you are nice to them,” Lyall writes.
“Magus And The Blue Fairy” is filled with important lessons about overcoming shyness, making new friends and learning to trust others. Young readers and listeners alike will learn about the benefits of close friendships in this colorful new tale.
