The Broome County Urban League will host its annual dinner Friday to introduce its new board, outline upcoming programs and show appreciation for its successes.
The benefit dinner will be held at 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Friday, November 9th at the Terra Cotta on State Street in Binghamton. The evening will begin with a cash bar and music from 6 to 6:45pm, followed by a buffet dinner, keynote speaker Assemblywoman Donna A. Lupardo, music and dancing.
The event will also include recognition of those who have contributed to the league and an announcement of scholarship winners.
Tickets for the entire evening are $40 per person and sponsorship opportunities are also available. Those who are unable to attend the dinner may make a donation to support the community service organization, which provides assistance annually to more than 3000 constituents and their families in need.
The local Urban League chapter is a multi-ethnic representation of the region's population. It solicits membership from everyone who wants to join its continuing advocacy for integration and fostering of equality awareness for all people in the greater Broome County community.
