After consulting nonprofits for two years on donor retention, Encore co-founders and Georgetown University undergraduates James Li, Michael Hauser, and Tammy Cho recognized a glaring need for small to medium-sized charities: they simply don’t have the time and expertise to execute effective online campaigns to stay top of mind and rally grassroots supporters. As a result, an average nonprofit loses 6 of every 10 donors each year and thousands of dollars worth of social impact.
