Tallmadge, OH (PRWEB) November 06, 2012
NHRA professional drag racers can’t turn a tire without the hard work and dedication of their pit crews. Full Throttle Energy Drink, title sponsor of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, is giving race fans a chance to recognize the most dedicated crews by voting in the Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Awards.
Greg Anderson’s crew—with assistance from his teammate Jason Line—was nominated for their efforts at the Toyota Supernationals in Englishtown, New Jersey. They accomplished one of the hardest things in racing: debuting a brand new race car (the 2012 Summit Racing Camaro) and getting their driver into the winner’s circle—the 100th victory for KB Racing.
Tim Wilkerson's team is recognized for two feats at the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio. First, they had to get Tim’s son, Daniel, back into the race after an engine fire destroyed his car during qualifying, forcing the team to get a backup car up and running for Sunday’s eliminations. On top of that, the crew kept Tim’s Mustang running strong throughout eliminations, giving the Team Summit driver the horsepower to earn a runner-up finish.
Race fans can vote for one team in each of the NHRA professional classes (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle) now through midnight Sunday, November 11. The winning crews will be honored at the season-ending awards ceremony and will also receive a cash bonus from Full Throttle Energy Drink.
