In recognition of National Distance Learning Week taking place November 5th-9th, Penn Foster, Inc., a global leader in online education, will host an online open house on Thursday November 8 from 1-2 pm EST to answer commonly asked questions from new students considering distance learning and dispel myths regarding online education which is fast becoming a more popular, viable way to earn a degree.
“We believe that the benefits of online learning, from scalability, flexibility, and affordability equal greater student achievement, and we want to celebrate that during National Distance Learning Week,” said Ray McNulty, chief learning officer at Penn Foster College. “We know that while online degrees are becoming a more popular option, many students still have concerns around the accreditation, the costs and question how the process works. We want educate prospective students so they understand what to look for in an education program in order to gain the most value from their experience.”
Penn Foster’s tuition assistance allows students to pay as they go with a low monthly payment structure, 0% APR and no hidden fees, ensuring they graduate debt free. And now, to encourage student enrollment further, they will be offering a free semester to all new students that choose to enroll in an online college program during National Distance Learning Week along with a reduced rate of $19 down for enrollment.
“The costs associated with going back to school should not get in the way; anyone who wants to advance their education should have an opportunity to do so and we have designed our open house in an effort to share that message,” continued McNulty.
Prospective and current students can log into its dynamic Community on Thursday, November 8 from 1pm-2pm EST for the open house. McNulty, the event’s host, along with representatives from the Admissions Counselors and Student Care, will be on hand to answer questions and concerns regarding online education ranging from accreditation and credit transfers to financing.
Sponsored by the United States Distance Learning Association, National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) promotes and celebrates the growth and accomplishments of distance learning programs.
