DSI Dynamatic will host a no-cost informational webinar on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. EST. Hosts Anthony Anniballi, DSI vice president of sales and marketing, and Gary Patterson, DSI Midwest regional water and wastewater application engineer, will discuss the major cost advantages of electromagnetic eddy current drives.

Anniballi mentions that DSI’s term ‘true system efficiency’ encompasses three focus points. “The first is lowering capital costs, particularly on medium-voltage applications,” says Anniballi. “The second is actual kilowatt-hour energy savings, and the third is life-cycle cost of the eddy current drive technology.”

The webinar will compare the technologies and the cost advantages of electromagnetic eddy current drives versus variable-frequency drives (VFDs). Participants will learn that a variety of technologies are available.

“Participants will be made aware of some shortcomings with VFD technology,” says Anniballi. “They will be given an opportunity to look at significant capital cost savings for their municipalities or industrial water or wastewater customers.”

DSI is administering a survey with municipalities and engineers on VFD usage, and those results will be discussed during the webinar.
