-- Chuck Keeley, President, CGR Products

Rapid and consistent growth at flexible materials fabricator CGR Products has led to twin recognitions on local and national lists which laud fast-growing private companies.

Inc. magazine included CGR on its 2012 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S. CGR entered the list at No. 4,244 among all companies on the Inc. 5000, and at No. 177 in the “manufacturing” sub-category.

CGR also returned to the Fast 50, an honor bestowed by The Business Journal of the Piedmont Triad for rapid growth; CGR clocked in at No. 29 on that list.

“The rising economy has really been an ally for us, and we are using that position of strength to grow our presence nationwide,” said Chuck Keeley, president. “With our acquisition of Wisconsin manufacturer EG Gasket closing in October, we are poised to further expand our geographical footprint and expand our markets.”

The acquisition gives CGR more than 110 employees in three states – North Carolina, Alabama, and Wisconsin – improving CGR’s ability to meet the demands of customers who require precision products with a rapid turnaround.

CGR, one of just 20 Triad-based firms to make the Inc. 5000 list, received the recognition after showing 29 percent growth in a three-year period measured from 2008-2011.
