As such, many businesses are seeking to get their products sold in duty-free retail locations, banking on the high volume of holiday travelers and seasonal shoppers. Some of the specific industries mentioned in the article include makers of perfumes and cosmetics, alcohol and tobacco products, and clothing and watches.

The article notes that, for these kinds of products, the duty-free price is as much as 30 to 50 percent below the regular retail rate, an alluring discount for many consumers.
