The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its Dressing of the Year, Sauce of the Year and Package of the Year Award winners at its Annual Meeting held Oct. 20-22, 2012 at Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Here are the winners:
- 2012 Dressing of the Year-Litehouse, Inc. for its Fuji Apple Vinaigrette Dressing
- 2012 Sauce of the Year-Chelten House Products, Inc. for its Orange Szechuan Sauce
- 2012 Package of the Year-Coldec Concepts for its Paletto® Paint Mix & Shake Bag (developed in cooperation with Nordenia/Mondi Jackson, Inc.) for possible future application in the dressing and sauce industry.
The Dressing of the Year and Sauce of the Year Awards are presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate dressing and sauce products that are innovative and flavorful. The Package of the Year Award was developed to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packaging.
Nominations for each award were received from ADS members and then were voted on by members via a blind taste test for the dressings and sauce awards, and by visual presentation for the package award, at the ADS Technical Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. ADS members voted for the dressing and sauce deemed to have the best overall taste and the package deemed to have the best presentation.
