SOUTHPORT, Connecticut (PRWEB) November 08, 2012
Connecticut’s premier residential real estate firm, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty has announced signing of a 10–year lease for new office space located at 250 Pequot Avenue in Southport.
“The move was initiated by the need to accommodate the rapid growth of our Fairfield and Southport brokerage locations, as well as a desire to acquire a standalone address befitting the stature of the Sotheby’s brand,” said Brad Kimmelman, brokerage manager for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Fairfield office. “This stately brick building in the heart of Southport Village was the perfect next home for my team.”
Since his appointment as head of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Fairfield and Southport operations in June 2011, Mr. Kimmelman has led his team of nearly 60 agents to nearly double their production during a time when the market has been improving only incrementally. “Our present Southport location at 342 Pequot Avenue was originally meant to be a satellite location, but grew larger and faster than we ever thought it would,” said Paul Breunich, President and CEO of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty.
After careful thought and planning, Mr. Kimmelman and Mr. Breunich made the decision to consolidate the Fairfield office, currently located at 2000 Post Road in Fairfield, with the Southport office for efficiency in leadership and operations.
“I always ran the two offices as one,” Mr. Kimmelman said. “It only makes sense to merge the two locations so that my entire team can work together in one brand new, state of the art facility. We are thrilled to be moving into a beautiful new building that will truly appeal to the clients of this luxury brand.”
Construction at 250 Pequot Avenue will begin immediately, and Mr. Kimmelman hopes the move will take place before the New Year. The building will be shared with Connecticut Challenge Center for Cancer Survivorship, which opened their new facility just last month on the lower level. The current William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty brokerages in Southport and Fairfield at 342 Pequot Avenue and 2000 Post Road, respectively, will continue to operate until the move occurs.
“We are certain that this move will allow us to serve the Fairfield and Southport communities with the professionalism and style they have come to expect from us as we continue to grow in these very important markets,” Mr. Breunich said.
