Citalia was awarded winner of the ‘Best Medium Tour Operator to the Italian Peninsula’ last week, at the Prestigious British Travel Awards

Citalia were delighted to be awarded winner of the ‘Best Medium Tour Operator to the Italian Peninsula’ at the British Travel Awards last week. The prestigious awards are considered to be the most influential awards ceremony in the travel industry. The extravagant event was said to have been a brilliant night with support from some of the largest media outlets including The Sunday Times, The Sun, Classic FM, Heart, LBC as well as TripAdvisor.

The event at Battersea Evolution in London was attended by more than 1,000 travel industry guests with the brilliantly funny Hugh Dennis from the hit show ‘Outnumbered’ compering the evening.

In March and April this year, travel companies were invited to register in 75 various categories from ‘Best Tour Operator’ to ‘Best Online Hotel Booking Company’. Everything from individual holiday components, airport parking, travel insurance and attraction tickets were awarded for their contribution to the travel industry. The Awards recognised the best companies within the travel industry and this year saw a huge 328 brands and organisations nominated by consumers.
