Tourism Cares, Inc., a travel and tourism non-profit, organizes annual volunteer restoration events to ensure the preservation of historic sites for future generations. On September 28, 2012, over 200 volunteers from as far away as Hawaii descended upon Sacramento to repair and refurbish historic landmarks.
“Tourism Cares can’t do its work without the help of the local community. Silverado Stages donation of transportation services during the Tourism Cares restoration project allowed us to do our job effectively and efficiently,” states Executive Director Bruce Beckham.

Jim Federman noted that Silverado Stages is is an employee-owned company, which was founded by Jim and Sharon Galusha. The Galushas’ have served as an inspiration and a role model for the drivers and support staff. He attributes the excellent safety and service record of the company to the incentive each team member enjoys, by being a stakeholder in the enterprise.
