SecurTek Monitoring Solutions announced today that it has acquired Manitoba-based Priority Alarms. Canada’s fastest growing security monitoring provider is expanding its presence in the province, as part of an on-going effort to reach new customers from coast, to coast said SecurTek CEO Barry Rogers.

"An opportunity presented itself for SecurTek to increase its client base in the Winnipeg area and to make headway with a few clients outside of Manitoba," noted Rogers. "Priority Alarms is a well established company whose owners were looking for a way to ensure its customers would continue to enjoy the quality of service they deserved. Our Dealer Relations team negotiated an agreement providing assurance that Priority Alarms customers will benefit from this new investment by SecurTek."

Priority Alarm owners Jim Kotowich and Lynn Guicheret will help transition customers to SecurTek to ensure seamless service continuity during the account migration phase. This will allow them to pursue new projects in their lives, explains Jim Kotowich:

"We had been thinking about retirement for some time and had sought a way to make sure those who depended on us for their security needs would continue to be protected if and when we retired," explained Jim Kotowich. "SecurTek offers great value for our residential and commercial clients. We felt they would be more than able to continue to provide the level of customer service that had become of our tradition here at Priority Alarms. It is the right fit all around."

As of November 1, SecurTek is providing security monitoring services to over 1,300 Priority Alarms customers. Part of the transitioning process will see Jim Kotowich handling business operations for the next three months to assist during the transition phase.

SecurTek already operates a monitoring station located in Winnipeg. Priority Alarm customers will find comfort in knowing that their security needs are met by locally-based monitoring station attendants.
