"We want to give filmmakers and independent film lovers an opportunity to connect and make it easier for more, different kinds of stories to find their audiences,” said Emily Best, Founder and CEO, Seed&Spark.
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 08, 2012
Seed&Spark - the first end-to-end solution for independent films to fund, produce, and distribute their films using the power of the crowd - is calling independent film, doc, and series makers to submit their work to become a Seed&Spark Founding Filmmaker. The selected group of Founding Filmmakers will be part of the official Seed&Spark site launch on December 1, 2012.
Founding Filmmakers will benefit from fee-free movie distribution as well as publicity campaigns to worldwide audiences through the Seed&Spark platform. They will receive hands-on assistance by the Seed&Spark team to better build and expand their community. They will be part of the vibrant Seed&Spark network that includes partners like Atlantic Pictures which will be distributing films through the site. The trailers of the Founding Filmmakers will be screened at the Seed&Spark Early Adopters Holiday Party in New York City.
“Only 1% of the roughly 15,000 indie movies made every year receive distribution through traditional avenues. That means there are great indie films out there that no one has ever heard of! We want to give filmmakers and independent film lovers an opportunity to connect and make it easier for more, different kinds of stories to find their audiences,” said Emily Best, Founder and CEO, Seed&Spark.
The Founding Filmmakers are the first cohort of artists whose work will be featured on the Seed&Spark site.
Submissions are due by November 20, 2012 and can be submitted via the Seed&Spark site at http://www.seedandspark.com/.
Seed&Spark is building a truly independent filmmaking community where filmmakers and audiences come together for crowd-funding, production, and streaming distribution. Every time an audience member supports the making of a moving picture project (funding, following, sharing) they earn “Sparks” which can be redeemed to watch movies on the streaming platform.
Supporting films lets you watch more films: It’s the new ecosystem for filmmakers & audiences, and…that’s it! For more information, go to http://www.seedandspark.com and http://www.facebook.com/seedandspark, or follow us on Twitter at @seedandspark.
