The Bible upholds the act of praying. What is so special about prayer and why must one do it, as 1 Thessalonians 5:17 puts it, “without ceasing”? In his book, “My Prayer Life”, author Glynn Owen Jones invites readers on a journey of discovering the beauty and experiencing the miracle of prayer.
Jones shares that it was his granddaughter, Clare, who inspired him to create what would become his personal record of God’s unfailing love. This book is a touching testament of the faithfulness of the Almighty to listen to the prayers of His children. The author hopes that by sharing a glimpse into his life, readers would get to know God as he knew him and invite Him into their hearts and lives. He says,
“I felt compelled to record so many prayers and answers that my readers would be drawn closer to ‘The Saviour of the world’; my Lord and Saviour that you might come to Know Him, Love Him, and invite personally into your heart and Life.”
A valuable trove of insights and inspiration, “My Prayer Life” celebrates the wonders of prayer as it allows readers to deepen their relationship with God.
“My Prayer Life” will be featured at the 2013 London Book Fair in London, England, on April 15 – 17, 2013. For more information on this book, interested parties may log on to http://www.XlibrisPublishing.co.uk.
