International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The event highlights how the College prepares its students to live and work in a global environment.

Salt Lake Community College celebrates International Education Week from November 13-16. The week’s events highlight the benefits of international education and exchange at the College and worldwide.

The week's events begin with a Speed Diplomacy event on Tuesday, November 13 from 2:30 -4:00 p.m. in the Student Event Center at the College’s Taylorsville Redwood Campus. This event allows international students to learn more about the College’s International Diplomacy program. Students can come together to exchange ideas, share perspectives and experiences about the co-curricular program that includes the Buddy program, a Model United Nations program, the International Education Stories project and other activities. This event is invitation only.

On Wednesday, November 14 from 10:00 am – 1:00 p.m. an International Opportunities Fair will be held in the Student Event Center at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus. This event provides an overview of all programs and opportunities the College provides for international students. The event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, November 15 will be International Night from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. also in the Taylorsville Redwood Campus’ Student Event Center. This event includes a student-produced international fashion and talent show.

A luncheon will be held for the International Diplomacy Program on Friday, November 16, from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. in the Student Center, room 219 at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus. This event is for SLCC International students and invited guests.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The event highlights how the College prepares its students to live and work in a global environment.
