From author Norm Cole, who has labored from a small town family logging business to the U.S. Air Force, from an underground iron mine to the higher echelon of the business world, DONE WITH THE TALKING is a simple fiction with a profound intention. Cole’s newly-published book seeks not only to entertain Americans, but also to rally them to address the country’s growing crisis.

There have been several pressing issues that impelled Cole to pen his story. Among many, Cole mentions the unemployment of millions of Americans, especially young college graduates, millions of homes in bankruptcy, lack of capital for entrepreneurs to build businesses, lack of permits to mine minerals or drill for oil. Cole says that in every household and from every media source, there is constant identification and discussion of huge existing problems, but never a solution to address them.

Cole then proposes a hypothetical solution crafted within a story about three young Special Forces marines. These men of high moral values spend years in Afghanistan and Pakistan under brutal and dangerous conditions to defend their country and its constitutions. Upon returning home, they expect a good life—nice house, secure job and bright future—but only to find out there are none of these because of greedy politicians, corporate CEOs and government regulations. Luckily, they brought home something that might help stop the demise of America.

A highly intriguing novel with noble intentions, DONE WITH THE TALKING is a short story that may create a lifelong impact if its message is heeded. It calls for people who have the power to effect change to take action.
