What better way to show our appreciation then to make our first day all about supporting the efforts of our local Booster Clubs that support the talents and passions of all of our children year after year?
Greenlawn, New York (PRWEB) November 10, 2012
Swirls and Twirls self-serve frozen yogurt shop (http://www.swirlsandtwirlsusa.com), featuring 24 flavors, 50+ toppings and endless possibilities, announces the grand opening celebration of its sixth location at 769 Pulaski Road, Greenlawn, in the Waldbaum’s Shopping Center, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 11 am – 8PM.
Swirls and Twirls franchisee owners, brothers Frank and Danny Capobianco, members of the Greenlawn Chamber of Commerce, invite the public to stop by to savor “the ultimate healthy indulgence” on grand opening day for half-price. There will be music, games, free raffles and radio stations WBLI and 94X will be broadcasting live on location throughout the day. Plus one lucky person will win free yogurt for a year.
In celebration of this special occasion, and as part of their commitment to giving back to the local community, fifty percent of all proceeds during the celebration will be donated to the Elwood and Harborfields Booster Clubs to assist them in achieving their mission of supporting schools programs that enhance student experiences with academics, athletics, and the arts.
“We are really enthusiastic about opening a new Swirls and Twirls location in Greenlawn,” says Frank Capobianco. “We want to be more than just a new self-serve frozen yogurt shop in town; we want to be a contributing part of the community, my community, where my children grew up happy and healthy, where they discovered their love of and talent for sports and academics. We want to give back to the community that nurtured their talent and gave them a place to play and learn. He continues, “What better way to show my appreciation then to make our first day all about supporting the efforts of our local Booster Clubs that support the talents and passions of all of our children year after year?”
The Greenlawn location is the sixth Swirls and Twirls to open on Long Island since the successful launch of this chain began with the opening of the first shop in Massapequa Park in May 2011. More than ten more shops are expected to open during the year on Long Island, in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and in Connecticut through the recent availability of Swirls and Twirls franchise opportunities. http://www.swirlsandtwirlsusa.com/franchise
As with all of their other locations, Swirls and Twirls will be using Facebook, Twitter and interactive mobile marketing tactics to connect and dialogue with their customers. The Greenlawn Swirls and Twirls setting features a vibrant and unique interior, striking architectural lighting, music from a state-of-the-art sound system and free Wi-Fi. It has eight yogurt machines each serving two flavors; with a third handle allowing customers to create a swirled flavor. All premium yogurt flavors are kosher and most include gluten-free, non-fat, low-fat, no sugar added, dairy-free varieties, and are as low as 70 calories per ½ cup serving. The topping stations contain more than seven wet, nine fruit and 33 dry toppings.
“Swirls and Twirls was designed to encourage people of all ages to have fun and get creative while enjoying a healthy snack,” says the Capobianco brothers, “With so many options, there are endless combination possibilities to create your own healthy treat; your only limit is your imagination!”
After swirling up their own creations, yogurt fans move to a weigh-in station where the fee for their treat is only 49 cents an ounce. From 11am – 8pm on opening day only, that price will be 25 cents an ounce (half price). Tables and chairs and a super comfortable couch encourage customers to gather and enjoy Swirls and Twirls yogurt in a friendly, fun, party like atmosphere. All spoons, cups and napkins are made from recycled materials.
Leveraging technology to enhance the Swirls experience, on-site touch screens have been incorporated into every shop. One provides easy access to ingredient, nutrition and allergy information while the other, a 55” live Facebook monitor, allows customers to post status updates and photos, and see them appear online instantly. In addition, Swirls and Twirls encourages users to sign up for their loyalty program to earn free yogurt. Once a member, customer’s points are automatically sent to their cell phones making tracking and redemption a snap.
