Delta Defense, LLC is a company focused on teaching armed self-defense through its websites, its magazine, and its radio show. But Delta Defense is also squarely behind American Veterans. Early in the month of November, this memo went out to all of the company’s employees:
“…in the month of November, in honor of Veteran's Day, we will be collecting donations for the Never Homeless Organization - Milwaukee's Homeless Veteran's Initiative.”
Never Homeless operates a food pantry and breakfast each week for under-privileged veterans. They also counsel homeless veterans about obtaining benefits, medical care, clothing, toiletries, and eyeglasses. Most importantly, the organization helps to get homeless veterans off the streets by finding them new homes, which they also help to furnish.
Delta Defense will be collecting food, bedding, clothing, personal items, and household items in their Jackson, Wisconsin home office during the month of November for Never Homeless. Tim Schmidt, CEO of Delta Defense, also wrote in the memo:
“Some of you may remember that Sharon brought the needs of this organization to our attention last year, and we collected so many items that when the volunteers came to pick up, they could barely fit everything into their truck!”
Aside from the help Delta Defense plans to offer the veterans through the Never Homeless group, their employees also spent time helping Habitat for Humanity on November 7th.
