Candia Vineyards, a boutique New Hampshire winery, was recently the recipient the Best of Category Award at the 8th Annual Seaboard Wine Association Wine Competition. Candia Vineyards, along with Senate and House members of the U.S. Congressional Wine Caucus, other invited Congressional members, Chiefs of Staff, and Legislative Assistants concerned with wine industry issues, was invited to the upcoming annual Capitol Hill awards presentation and wine tasting of the top winning Atlantic Seaboard wines for 2012.
At this black tie event, Candia Vineyards will receive the Best of Category award in the Other White Hybrid Varietal category for its 2011 Diamond wine, which Candia Vineyards makes in a fruity off-dry style. The vineyard was also honored as a Gold Medal Winner for the 2011 Diamond and a Silver Medal Winner for its 2011 Ice Storm and 2011 Noiret. The winning wines offered for tasting were selected by a panel of 18 distinguished judges .
