With two experienced editors backed by a team of writers-in-demand, I’m Write will continue to expand and make their presence known in the international creative writing market.

I’m Write (http://www.imwrite.ca/), a Canadian freelance writing company, has hired Tracey L. Anderson and Rechelle McDonald as creative writing editors.

"Working with I’m Write has not only given me direction in my writing, but has also exposed me to a wonderful community of writers and editors who appreciate and strive to create a well written word or two,” says McDonald. “Working with others who are as passionate about writing as I am has opened up a whole new world to me - I'll be forever in their debt." Anderson also talks with enthusiasm about her role as a creative writing editor. “Working with I'm Write has given me valuable experience writing and editing a variety of styles and text types and an opportunity to work with a range of writers.” She goes on to describe working in I’m Write’s paperless, virtual office by saying, “It's so interesting to work on a team and build a rapport with people you have not met face-to-face.”

Both Anderson and McDonald bring many credentials to their editor of creative writing roles. “I was an English-as-a-second-language teacher overseas for about 15 years,” explains Anderson. “In my work, I wrote and edited curriculum documents, teaching materials and assessments. I am now working on my Bachelor of Applied Communications in Professional Writing Degree at MacEwan University in Edmonton where I have taken writing courses and courses in proofreading and copy editing, applied editing and book editing. In addition to my work at I'm Write, I am also on the editorial board at Earth Common Journal.” McDonald’s list of achievements is equally impressive. “I have my BA in English from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I took particular interest in Shakespeare and poetry,” says McDonald. “Now an Indy Novelist, I am anticipating the release of my first novel in the new year and am already working on the next. When I'm not working on a novel I'm feverishly blogging about my other interests: fashion and films.”

I’m Write is based in Edmonton, Alberta and has completed assignments for clients in India, Thailand, Australia, America, Canada and the UK. The company started as a one-woman freelance creative writing operation in 2009 and quickly expanded to a staff of approximately 20 writers. Nerissa McNaughton, the founder of I’m Write, also functioned as the sole editor until 2012. “It’s simply became inefficient to continue with one editor,” says McNaughton as she reflects on the rapid growth of her company. “In the few short weeks that Tracey and Rechelle have been on board, we have been able to process work for our clients even more efficiently. Having such an effective editing team in place allows us to take on more clients – something we couldn’t do in prior months due to the volume of the workload.”

In addition to being creative writing editors, Anderson and McDonald provide high-quality blogs and articles for the company as well. Anderson’s detailed, technical style has earned her accounts with I’m Write’s most discriminating clients while McDonald’s cheerful and humorous method keeps her busy with lifestyle pieces.

With these two experienced editors backed by a team of writers-in-demand, I’m Write will doubtless continue to expand and make their presence known in the international creative writing market.
