There’s no love like puppy love. And now, thanks to the new book A Letter To My Dog: Notes To Our Best Friends from Chronicle Books, creators Kimi Culp, Lisa Erspamer and Robin Layton have beautifully captured this powerful relationship for everyone to enjoy. A Letter To My Dog is a heartwarming book featuring stunning photographs by renowned photographer Robin Layton and deeply personal letters written by a variety of dog lovers to their beloved, four-legged friends. This special collection of touching letters and magnificent portraits is a celebration of the loyalty and unconditional love we have for our precious pups. The book includes letters from: Oprah Winfrey, Tony Bennett, Kristin Chenoweth, Colbie Caillat, Cat Cora, Fran Drescher, Hilary Duff, Ken Paves, Chelsea Handler, Mariel Hemingway, Carol Leifer, Tyler Perry, Maria Menounos, Cynthia McFadden, Robin Roberts, Willow Smith, Rumer Willis and more.

A labor of love between three friends and pet enthusiasts, Kimi, Lisa and Robin came up with the idea over dinner in the Spring of 2011. The next day, they sprung into action and called every dog lover they knew, put up a blog to invite other dog lovers to express their undying love, and held competitions in schools. As the letters poured in – they knew they were on to something big. Each letter was more heartfelt than the next – it was clear that every dog had a story and that every dog mom, dad or sibling wanted to share it. The letters capture the deep connection we have with our furry friends – they tell stories of unconditional love, life changing laughter, belly rubs, torn up socks, and the joys of coming home to a loved one who is always really really excited to see you.

On November 12th, ALetterToMyDog.com will launch as the premiere destination site for all dog lovers. This unique site gives pet people a chance to share even more puppy love with the world by writing and posting their own letters. In addition to the letters, the website features everything from the latest in dog news to unique columns like the one by world famous pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick, who hosts a weekly web column “Ask Louis and Psychic Sonya,” “Rescue Mike” – where TV producer Michael Levitt details his adventures of rescuing dogs and finding them fantastic forever homes, “Tributes” – a special section dedicated to creating lasting tributes to our beloved dogs. “Lily’s Favorite Things” – Lily, a gorgeous five-pound Yorkie with great taste and who knows what she loves, travels the web in search of the things your dog can’t live without.

In celebration of the launch, there will be “FIVE DAYS OF DOGGIE GIVEAWAYS.” Anyone who posts a letter on the site between November 12th and November 16th will have a chance to receive some much loved pet products, including Thundershirts to calm your dog’s anxiety, Paws Aboard dog lifejackets, dog exercisers from Springer America, deliciously soft Futon dog beds from Orvis, personalized lead collars from Orvis and Kong’s much anticipated new super strong toy.
