Boise, Idaho (PRWEB) November 09, 2012
Bodybuilding.com, the Internet’s most-visited sports nutrition and fitness site and the largest online retailer of nutritional supplements, is lending its support to the hurricane-ravaged Northeast.
“Here at Bodybuilding.com, we live by our mantra, We Change Lives. It is our goal that we positively impact those around us every way we can,” says Ryan DeLuca, Bodybuilding.com CEO. “I have encouraged all of our employees to give what they are able, including a donation to the American Red Cross 2012 Hurricane Fund. We are also organizing a community clothing drive at our corporate office and kicking off a global donation drive on Bodybuilding.com and all of our social media outlets. It is clear that much still needs to be done, and that together, we can make a real difference.”
For the remainder of 2012, when customers make a qualifying purchase over $75.00 from Bodybuilding.com, they will have the option to make a $2 donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in lieu of receiving a free gift. In addition, Bodybuilding.com is encouraging all of its visitors, customers, and BodySpace members to donate to the American Red Cross 2012 Hurricane Fund through a special URL. Bodybuilding.com will match donations dollar for dollar, up to $50,000.
The public is invited to join Bodybuilding.com employees tomorrow, Friday, November 9th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at the Bodybuilding.com corporate office for a community clothing drive, located at 2026 Silverstone Way, Meridian, Idaho. Much-needed items include warm clothing, blankets, non-perishable food items, batteries, flashlights, and garbage bags. There is also a need for baby supplies, razors, toothbrushes, and other personal care items.
All donated items will be delivered to the Salvation Army – Greater New York and New Jersey divisions.
