FORA.tv (http://fora.tv), the leading online destination for conference and event video, and Ustream (http://www.ustream.com), the leader in live video, today announced a dynamic, content-sharing partnership. The agreement accelerates the efforts of both companies to bring smart, intelligent and engaging video programming to online audiences around the globe.
This week FORA.tv and Ustream will work together to live broadcast Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer conversation with LinkedIn Chairman and Cofounder Reid Hoffman on November 14th at Churchill Club in Santa Clara, CA (http://f4a.tv/RrofDU).
Leveraging both companies’ strengths, the partnership combines FORA.tv’s award-winning videos and deep relationships with some of the world’s biggest and best media companies with Ustream’s robust technology platform, wide-ranging set of content partners and large audience reach. The partnership will greatly increase each site’s offerings of both free and pay-per-view videos, available live and on-demand.
“In joining forces with Ustream, we are bringing together two of the biggest names in live, online video to deliver relevant, intelligent programming to the widest audience possible,” said FORA.tv CEO Blaise Zerega.
“We are delighted to be working with FORA.tv,” said SVP Content, Operations and Strategy of Ustream Craig Mullaney. “Ustream’s expertise in live broadcasts and enormous reach will help FORA.tv better serve their conference and event partners.”
The next joint offering between FORA.tv and Ustream will be the November 14th Churchill Club event with Steve Ballmer and Reid Hoffman (http://f4a.tv/RrofDU). Pay-per-view access to this exclusive event is available from both FORA.tv and Ustream for $9.95. The purchase price includes viewing of the live broadcast as well as 30 days of unlimited, on-demand watching following the event.
The partnership between the companies began on October 3 when Ustream and FORA.tv jointly streamed PBS New Hours’ coverage of the first presidential debate of the 2012 Election. It was quickly followed by the live broadcast of the WIRED Health Conference and several important events from the National Journal. In addition, FORA.tv and Ustream will also jointly offer on-demand, pay-per-view video programs from TEEN VOGUE's 7th annual Fashion U.
“This is only the beginning,” said Zerega. “In the future, look for deeper integration between Ustream and FORA.tv, as we transform the conference and event video space.”
