Books are beautifully displayed making it easy for avid readers, librarians, and book lovers to vote for books that merit favorable attention. When voting, UmeNow members can select "Want it" ... "Love it" ... "Gem."
Additionally, UmeNow members can write book reviews using the blog section. To avoid the pitfall of malicious reviews, UmeNow reserves the right to remove negative reviews and ban members who use UmeNow to post unfavorable reviews.
"We welcome honest reviews by ordinary people who love books. But if a book does not warrant a favorable review, we ask the reviewer to contact the author directly and provide feedback that will help the writer," stated Evelyn Castillo-Bach, CEO of UmeNow.com.
Independent and mainstream authors can also expect to be listed within the Explore Book section, with no preference given to authors who are published through major houses. Authors and publishers can directly request to have books featured within UmeNow, provided the book is available for purchase online.
Company policy forbids the any form of pornography or erotica. Books that fall into either category will not be considered.
"Self-published authors are proving that they too can produce great work. We acknowledge this by actively searching for independent authors that are unknown," stated Castillo-Bach.
UmeNow is a private social network has banned all tracking and all ads. Its 2-tier membership structure is designed to provide the same level of privacy protection to all members. Any free members can create blogs. Premium level members who subscribe for $6.00/ month have access to all site areas. UmeNow entered into its silent launch in July 2011.
