Highland Park, Michigan (PRWEB) November 20, 2012
Budco, a leading fulfillment and direct marketing company, announced this week that it has been validated as SSAE 16-compliant.
SSAE 16 is the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements 16 (SSAE 16) and replaces the previous SAS 70 standard.
Budco worked with UHY, one of the largest public accounting firms in the nation, to validate compliance with SSAE 16. Compliance with SSAE 16 assures that Budco has well-defined, controlled and effective business practices, including secure data storage, as well as solid business contingency plans. Compliance shows that Budco systems are suitable for clients that have specific quality and data control requirements and need to comply with legal requirements like Sarbanes-Oxley.
“Achieving SSAE 16 compliance was not only very important to Budco, but it was important to our customers as well,” said Director of IT Systems Operations Michael Spalding. “At Budco, data security is of the highest priority, and this compliance helps us show our clients and our clients’ customers, employees and partners that we do so to the highest standards.”
Budco’s commitment to quality and security has been a hallmark of the organization since inception.
They established a Quality Operating System (QOS) more than 20 years ago. It was that methodology and set of disciplined processes that laid the foundation for the organization to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification as well as becoming PCI, GMP and HIPAA compliant.
