Hope For The Warriors® was proud to grant a $50,000 Wish through A Warrior’s Wish® program to furnish the home of Sgt. John Peck, USMC, built by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen. Hope For The Warriors® joined the foundation for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Peck’s future home.
In 2010, Hope For The Warriors® partnered with the Siller Family to furnish a home for a Staten Island soldier. As the home was built, they granted a Wish through their A Warrior’s Wish® Program. The Wish was titled Make a House a Home and they furnished this state-of-the-art home to accommodate the needs of a quadruple amputee.
Peck was wounded in Afghanistan in May 2010. The Peck home is one of five homes that Hope For The Warriors® has committed to furnishing in 2012. Through this commitment, they aim to restore self, family and hope to this Marine and his family.
“We are proud to work with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to make this house a home for this deserving American hero,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® President said. “And after he is in his home, Hope For The Warriors® will continue to support this hero with the goal of restoring self, family and hope.”
