South Windsor, CT (PRWEB) November 13, 2012
Wrestlemania® XXIX will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and promises to be among the most exciting wrestling events of the year. Tickets for the Wrestlemania® 29 went on sale Saturday, November 11 and have been among the hottest sellers on Ticket Liquidator, a leading secondary ticket marketplace. Wrestlemania® is annually the biggest event on the WWE's calendar and while the event is still months away, excitement is already reaching a fever pitch.
The location for Wrestlemania® 29 was first announced on February 16, 2012. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, NJ Governor Chris Christie and wrestling star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson were on hand to make the announcement, and ever since then fans have been waiting for the official ticket on sales. This marks the fifth Wrestlemania® in the New York area, with the original Wrestlemania® taking place at MSG in 1985, while Wrestlemania® IV and V took place at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey. "WrestleMania® XXIX will be an extraordinary event, unlike anything you have ever seen," McMahon said at the time. "Quite simply, on April 7, 2013, WrestleMania® comes home."
While the official Wrestlemania® 29 matchups haven't been announced as of yet, there is widespread speculation The Rock and John Cena will face off in a rematch of last year's Wrestlemania® main event. The Rock won the match after years away from the ring, and many WWE fans are preparing for The Rock v. Cena II during WrestleMania® XXIX. Brock Lesnar will also take the stage during the event, and could face Triple H in a rematch of SummerSlam. Wrestler Ryback, also known as Big Hungry, who has quickly become one of the WWE's biggest stars, also figures to have a role during WrestleMania® 29.
Approximately 90,000 fans are expected to be on hand at MetLife Stadium to attend WrestleMania® 29 as millions more watch the wrestling pay-per-view event on television. Tickets for Wrestlemania® XXIX are still available at Ticket Liquidator. While newly opened in 2010, MetLife Stadium has already hosted some of the biggest events in the world. It serves as the home stadium of both the New York Giants and Jets. Many concerts have been hosted at MetLife Stadium, including Bon Jovi, the Eagles and U2. Additionally, MetLife Stadium will be hosting Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014.
