From artist-author Jolainne BoRienne who brought readers “Rising from the Ashes” comes her second book. A collection of over fifty free-verse poems and original paintings, “Living With Wonder” reflects some of the many times that BoRienne experienced God in different areas of her life.

Through this book, she depicts the magnificent and profound presence of God in every aspect of her everyday life—in nature, personal and community worship, painting, people, at home or away from home, and more. The author’s poetic and creative pieces give a variety of examples that aim to honor her experiences recognizing God. She hopes that her work will strike familiarity with one’s own experiences and encourage everyone to see more deeply into seemingly small things, as well as see through larger events, to recognize the essence of God in all of them.

The poetry is not intended to be formal poetry, instead it represents feelings and emotions inspired by the Spirit as the author examined events in her life. In the section on painting, BoRienne has given a few words of background to each picture, but she hopes that each viewer will see the Spirit’s work in their own individual way.

Beautifully combining art and poetry, “Living With Wonder” represents the special joyful gifts, which the author hopes everyone will enjoy—as much as she enjoyed experiencing, writing, and painting them. She believes that by sharing one’s gifts with others, he or she can also give greater glory to God.
