Robbins Brothers "Get Engaged!" Video Contest

If a guy has a general idea of how he thinks his girlfriend will react to his proposal and the diamond engagement ring, we’d like to see his interpretation as well!

Today Robbins Brothers announced its "Get Engaged!" video contest which invites single and married romantics to share their videotaped marriage proposal reaction for a chance to win an iPad valued at $500.00. The video contest coincides with Robbins Brothers’ television commercial campaign that reflects the various ways women respond to “Will You Marry Me?”

For consideration, all contestants can submit their YouTube or Facebook video link here through December 2. An internal panel of judges will then select the top three finalists based on an overall emotional connection to the video content, plus the user’s creativity with presenting the recipient’s reaction. Public voting will take place December 5 through December 14 and the grand prize winner will be announced the following week.

The video campaign aims to feature the sweet, funny and unpredictable emotional reactions women might experience when their significant other pops the question. Some ladies smile, cry and jump up and down continuously, while others are speechless and sometimes faint. Whether one is already married or expects a marriage proposal in the future, Robbins Brothers encourages all women to submit their video interpretation, up to one minute long, of the engagement experience.

“Many women dream about the day they will get engaged and how they will respond,” said Diane Ferraro, brand experience and marketing director for Robbins Brothers. “This is a feel-good video contest designed to celebrate the excitement of marriage proposals.” Ferraro adds, “If a guy has a general idea of how he thinks his girlfriend will react to his proposal and the diamond engagement ring, we’d like to see his interpretation as well! We are open to getting all viewpoints when it comes to the ultimate surprise of someone’s life.”
