The Distinguished Recognition Award is given to ED Directors who demonstrate significant contributions to their departments in the following categories: collaboration with nursing, quality patient care, operational effectiveness, education, community service, and a synergetic approach to leadership within the hospital.

He is currently Medical Director for The Emergency Department of the St. Francis Medical Center In Colorado Springs, and serves on the American College of Emergency Physicians’ National Reimbursement Committee.
