Featuring: Don Miguel Ruiz, author of “The Four Agreements,” International Mayan Council, Mayan Wisdom Keepers Humbatz Men and Mastro Mazatin, Caroline Casey, Nicki Scully, Foster & Kimberly Gamble; huge lineup of live world, electronic music.

“The end of the Mayan calendar will just come and go like any other day unless we make something happen,” says Don Miguel Ruiz, author of the best-selling book, “The Four Agreements,” and a keynote speaker at Synthesis 2012.

The Synthesis 2012 gathering, from December 20-23, celebrates the end of the Mayan 2012 Calendar with a hopeful message for humanity. This historic music festival is adjacent to the Chichen Itza archaeological site in the state of Yucatán, Mexico. The festival is produced by an experienced California production team working directly with the local Mayan elders, wisdom keepers and event producers in Mexico with the blessings of the UNESCO-recognized Mayan Cultural Organization and International Mayan Council.

The message of the Mayan Wisdom Keepers will be broadcast in live streaming video from the event on December 21, 2012 on the exact moment of the “galactic alignment” on Winter Solstice at 11:11 am UT, fulfilling a long-predicted Mayan prophecy. The live stream will be hosted on http://www.worldunity2012.com and co-produced by Michael Short and All Things Peace, http://www.allthingspeace.org, a group of entertainment professionals who have produced streaming video of the Academy Awards and other major events.

During the 4-day International gathering, Synthesis 2012 brings together some of the top international world music groups, electronic dance music, dynamic visionary leaders, spiritual teachers, shamans, the local Mayan community, teachers of healing arts and healthy, eco-conscious living. The event blends ancient culture, Indigenous ceremony and live world music with state-of-the-art electronic dance, visionary arts, sound healing, projections and inspiring films.

“The end of the Mayan 2012 calendar will just come and go like any other day unless we make something happen,” says Don Miguel Ruiz, author of the best-selling book, “The Four Agreements,” and a keynote speaker at Synthesis. “The time has come to awaken to our full awareness. Let’s act on this new agreement and change the world together.”

A front row seat for the Galactic Alignment

Synthesis 2012 is a celebration to honor the closing of the old cycle and welcome the dawning of a new era of renewal, balance, and harmony. Located adjacent to the grounds of the Pyramid of Kukulcan, one of the seven wonders of the world, Synthesis 2012 is a front row seat for this historic “galactic alignment.” This alignment of the Pyramid with the center of Milky Way Galaxy occurs once every 26,000 years, and was what the ancient Maya predicted with the 2012 end-date of their calendar. The calendar begins again on December 22, and the country of Mexico expects hundreds of thousands of tourists in the region for this occasion.

A message for humanity will be delivered during the event by Indigenous leaders representing several traditions, including the International Mayan Council, Hunbatz Men, Maestro Mazatzin and Don Miguel Ruiz representing the Mayans, Taita Juan Agreda Chindoy of Columbia, Lama Lhanang Rinpoche of Tibet, Chief Yagbe Owololo Onilu from Haiti, Olmec Elder Wanique Shabazz, Nyame Selassie from Africa and others to be announced and broadcast in a live video stream on http://www.worldunity2012.com.

The special appointed “Sacred Mission” of Synthesis 2012, the Mayan elders from the International Mayan Council of six countries, including Tata Eric Gonzales, will share their “message” to the world at this critical time live at Synthesis 2012 in a steaming video broadcast from Lake Atilan, Guatamala on December 23, 2012.

End of the Mayan Calendar Not the End of the World - A New Beginning

“The Mayan people are re-unifying their culture and co-creating a message of hope and transformation in these times of transition. This is the front-row seat of the galactic alignment,” says Executive Producer Michael DiMartino, “This historic transformational celebration and planetary synchronization is at the crossroads between the past, the present, and the future.”

Debra Giusti, associate producer of Synthesis 2012, is also founder of the Harmony Festival, one of the largest and longest running music and healing arts festivals in Northern California.

“After producing Harmony Festival for 33 years, I have watched the amazing evolution and development of the transformational festival movement that is deeply committed to supporting positive personal, community and global evolution,” said Giusti. “I am excited to support Synthesis 2012 in going to the next level by supporting the global streaming video coverage of this important message for the transition into a new era of harmony.”
