Soufrière, St. Lucia, West Indies (PRWEB) November 14, 2012
Ladera Resort has been named the top hotel on St. Lucia by four of the most prestigious publications in the world.
The discriminating and well-traveled readers of Condé Nast Traveler, the most influential travel magazine in the United States, voted Ladera the top St. Lucia Hotel in the Caribbean in their 2012 Readers' Choice Awards survey. The awards were announced in the November issue of the magazine.
Across the Atlantic in the United Kingdom, Condé Nast Traveller, Britain's own edition of the prestigious magazine, bestowed the number one ranking for a St. Lucia resort upon Ladera. In the article published in the current issue, the magazine noted that "This hotel is in one of the most incredible locations in the Caribbean."
Ladera was also singled out by another influential British publication, Cocotraie Tropical Living & Interior Design magazine when it received a trio of awards this month. In addition to being among the winners named in the "Design & Excellence Awards for Best Caribbean Resorts 2012," Ladera was named the Best Resort in the Caribbean in their "Readers Choice Awards." In a third award category, Cocotraie also presented to Ladera its "Recommended Award," a top honor bestowed by the magazine's own editors to just two resorts, which for them stand out as the embodiment of luxury tropical living and interior design.
In Canada, Ladera became the first Caribbean resort ever featured in the exclusive national publication, Prestige Design Magazine, in its "Best of the Best in the World" annual issue this month.
"We are truly humbled by the amount of press recognition we are receiving this year." says Olivier Bottois, Vice President of Marketing and Operations. "The awards are a credit to our exceptional St. Lucian team, the training and Ladera's commitment to delivering the most authentic St. Lucian experience to our guests. As Ladera evolves with the opening of Paradise Ridge this winter, we look forward to creating more lifelong memories for so many couples."
Paradise Ridge includes four new one-bedroom Suites and a lavish 1,700 square foot open-air Villa that will be the largest and most exclusive villa facing the Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As with all of the guest rooms at Ladera, the new Villa and the Suites at Paradise Ridge are unmistakably St. Lucian. Each room features locally-woven textiles and custom hardwood furniture hand-crafted on site at Ladera, such as the elegant Colonial four-poster king beds. The enormous en-suite bath areas have two-sided, open-air views of the Pitons and the rainforest and are equipped with water-efficient Kohler fixtures, as well as colorful handmade tile work by local artisans.
The enhancements at Dasheene at Ladera include an impressive new private Wine Cellar dining room for hosting a Chef and Sommelier's table for six to eight guests, or a romantic dinner for two. The kitchen at Dasheene at Ladera has also been extended.
Ladera, a fixture on every major top hotel and awards list, is a groundbreaking luxury resort and a haven for celebrities, honeymooners and trendsetters. Situated on a forested ridge 1,100 feet above the sea, it is perched above the port town of Soufrière. The resort pioneered the concept of open-architecture and three-walled guest suites. It offers the most authentic St Lucian luxury experience on the island, with locally-woven textiles and custom hardwood furniture hand-crafted on site. Dasheene at Ladera is known for its new approach to fresh cuisine and creative renderings of locally sourced St. Lucian seafood and produce, as well as its breathtaking views of the Pitons.
