Sims Recycling Solutions will continue to implement and maintain the other top industry certifications and standards, such as e-Stewards, to ensure that our environmental, employee health and safety, and security procedures are first-rate.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) November 13, 2012
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, has successfully achieved Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recyclers (R2) certification at its facility in Dallas, Texas. This certification standard, supported by major electronic original equipment manufacturers, the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, the Information Technology Industry Council, public interest groups, the U.S. EPA, and U.S. state and local governments, is one of the most stringent set of requirements for electronics recyclers. The standard establishes provisions for environmental, worker health and safety, and security practices.
“Sims Recycling Solutions will continue to implement and maintain the other top industry certifications and standards, such as e-Stewards, to ensure that our environmental, employee health and safety, and security procedures are first-rate,” stated Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, Americas. “We have many individuals who work hard to maintain these high standards because of our commitment to protect our employees and customers, the residents of the communities where we do business, and the environment.”
Sims Recycling Solutions announced the decision to pursue e-Stewards certification in July 2012. Sims Recycling Solutions provides environmentally sound recycling of end-of-life electronics by investing in green technology. This commitment allows Sims to offer cost-effective, industry-leading recycling solutions, while also conserving energy and valuable raw materials and creating green jobs.
