There are a lot of people nearby who want to give, but just don't have the time to drive across town to a food bank. Our goal is to make it a little easier for everyone to take part in giving.

Sacramento's Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff, the personal injury and class action law firm noted for their unique community outreach campaigns, will host their second annual Thanksgiving Donation Drive-Thru Friday morning, November 16th between 7am - 9am.

Drawing on the success and ease of giving last year, the firm's parking lot will again be transformed into a 'drive through and drop off' donation spot with attorneys, staff and the team from 1140 The Fan on hand to say, "Thank you!" with a little breakfast and Fan gear along the way.

"Everyone in our firm enjoys getting involved," says one of the firm's partners, Eric Ratinoff. "So last year we thought it would be fun to up the ante and reach out to local businesses and residents. We gave out coffee, breakfast bars, scones and donuts, and in return we generated a pretty decent amount of donations."

Partner Bill Kershaw agrees. "There are a lot of people nearby who want to give, but just don't have the time to drive across town to a food bank. Our goal is to make it a little easier for everyone to take part in giving."

According to the firm, the Food Bank is promoting a turkey drive, but they are also accepting traditional foods for Thanksgiving, as well as standard, non-perishable food items to help meet the community's critical need. As part of their month-long, "CANS from FANS" donation drive, 1140 The Fan is asking listeners to come by and give generously.

"We tend to focus on Thanksgiving because it's a festive time of year when those with plenty want to help others less fortunate." says partner Brooks Cutter. "But it's important to remember that the Sacramento Food Bank is on the front lines of food poverty every day helping those in need before, and certainly, long after the holidays have passed."

The Donation Drive-Thru will take place Friday morning, November 16th, from 7am-9am in the parking lot at 401 Watt Avenue, on the corner of Watt and Fair Oaks.
