Two behavioral healthcare leaders have formed an innovative partnership to improve care delivery and business efficiency for an organization that provides behavioral health services at more than 120 facilities across two states.
Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide, today announced an agreement with Centerstone, the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of community-based behavioral healthcare, to implement Netsmart solutions and services across its multi-state organization. These solutions will enable Centerstone to provide coordinated, integrated care, streamline clinical processes and realize unsurpassed business efficiencies.
“These are challenging times for healthcare providers. Resources are limited and needs are great, but challenge brings opportunity," said Michael Valentine, chief executive officer, Netsmart. "At Netsmart, our opportunity is to provide innovative and interactive solutions and services that transform the way healthcare is delivered. This is the promise we make to our clients as their partner to support their ability to improve the quality of care they provide."
Centerstone will implement myAvatar, the clinical and practice management solution used by more clinicians than any other behavioral health software. Netsmart’s role-based certified EHR is designed for the unique requirements of behavioral health. The myAvatar solution’s ease of use allows for quick adoption by clinicians and other staff members and more time for providing care to patients.
Centerstone also will use Plexus Cloud™, Netsmart’s software deployment and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution. Centerstone’s organizational data and applications will be hosted in Netsmart’s highly secure state-of-the-art data center. With Plexus Cloud, Netsmart provides comprehensive system management, including operating system updates, data backups, database and application software, and other services that help Netsmart clients reduce costs and operate more efficiently.
“Netsmart’s national expertise in behavioral healthcare, combined with its innovations in connected, integrated care and experience with managed care, make the company the ideal partner for Centerstone,” said David C. Guth, Jr., chief executive officer, Centerstone. “The work Netsmart is doing in this industry represents the kind of pioneering, forward-thinking progress that we sought in a solutions partner that would allow us to best serve our providers and clients across the broad scope of our organization.”
