Annya Sand is a London-based artist who has exhibited paintings in museums and galleries both nationally and internationally. She has had an incredibly prolific year, participating in numerous group exhibitions including Masterpiece London, where she exhibited alongside Sir Peter Blake, Banksy and Tracey Emin, Art Monaco, and the 20/21 International Art Fair, London.
Her work was recently highlighted in a solo exhibition at the Tashkent Art Week, organized by the Fund Forum of Culture with the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan. Sand was also selected by the Kyrgyzstan Republic’s Minister of Culture to exhibit her paintings at the G. Aytievv Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, and her work is currently on display at the National Museum of Kazakhstan in the A. Kasteev State Museum of Arts. Sand’s works are proudly exhibited alongside some of the greatest artists of the Former Soviet States.
Sand is best known for her work as a Co-Director of the Russian, Eastern and Oriental Art Fair in London in 2010. During the art fair Sand sold her own works to raise money for the Children’s Burns Trust. With the support of the leading British art critic, Andrew Graham-Dixon, Sand launched the ‘Annya Sand Art Prize’ to support emerging artists from former Soviet Republics to help them to break into the Western art world. Sand also donates her paintings to various charity auctions including: Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Children’s Burns Trust and The Mayors Fund for London.
