Cascade Game Foundry Partners with Dive Industry Leaders

Dive Training Expertise and Licensed Equipment Lend Realism to Underwater Simulation Game

Cascade Game Foundry (CGF®), a Seattle-based game development studio, announced today that they are working in partnership with the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI®) and the Dive Equipment Marketing Association (DEMA) to develop their recently-announced diving simulator game, Infinite Scuba™. CGF also has agreements with 20 dive equipment manufacturers to include their diving gear in the game.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with so many well-respected leaders in the dive industry on Infinite Scuba,” says Kathie Flood, Managing Director at CGF. “Their expertise enables us to provide a truly innovative, realistic, and fun diving experience for our players.” Infinite Scuba enables players of all ages to experience the beauty, mystery, and serenity of scuba diving in breathtakingly recreated dive sites around the world.

Through our partnership with Cascade Game Foundry, PADI and Infinite Scuba will introduce an even broader audience to the many exciting possibilities scuba diving offers and encourage them to dive into the real thing.

In addition to working with PADI and DEMA, Cascade Game Foundry has agreements to feature real-world scuba-diving equipment from 20 different manufacturers in Infinite Scuba. “Players use and collect real-world scuba-diving equipment in the game, and having the actual gear helps provide a rich, personalized underwater experience,” says Flood. “The equipment makers have been wildly supportive of including their brands in Infinite Scuba.”

Cascade Game Foundry is hard at work finishing the development of Infinite Scuba for PC and MacOS for release in 1Q 2013.
