We're combining the classic twists and cliffhangers of the thriller genre with quirky geek protagonists

On Thursday, November 15, 2012, High Performance FIlms, LLC will begin raising funds for the web series "Hacker Gamez" by launching a campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo.com. The series, a thriller about video game developers who become vigilante hackers after they discover dangerous code embedded in one of their games, brings a unique approach to the flooded web series market by being just one aspect of a larger geek entertainment franchise.
“It’s kind of like 'Sneakers' meets 'Real Genius'” said actor/director Michael May, the series’ creator and producer. “We’re combining the classic twists and cliffhangers of the thriller genre with quirky geek protagonists,” said actress/comedian Amy Schloerb who will co-produce the series with May. The Indiegogo campaign will raise funds for the first three episodes of Hacker Gamez which will be released online in early 2013, and simultaneously packaged as a pilot for television and web networks.
The Hacker Gamez website (http://www.hackergamez.com) will build a community for fans of geek entertainment by hosting video game news, reviews, cheats, and computer programming advice. Merchandise - including t-shirts, USB drives, and personalized artwork designed by independent comic book illustrator and series co-star, Nik Manikatos - will be available for sale on the website and given away to supporters of the Indiegogo campaign.
High Performance Films, LLC will oversee production which is set to begin in January 2013. To view the Indiegogo video and receive information on the fundraising campaign visit http://www.hackergamez.com.
