John Alexander, the founder of Search Engine Academy, realized during a recent overhaul of all course material that additional course modules needed to be taught to fulfill Search Engine Academy's mission of teaching the latest and freshest SEO processes, procedures, strategies and information.
One new module details to attendees the advantages and benefits of Information Architecture (IA) and SEO. IA is a series of processes applied to websites that ensures web visitors and readers find the most important content quickly by creating and implementing user-friendly navigation, labeling and site search functions.
Another very new SEO strategy is incorporating schema.org into websites. Schema.org uses the microdata format, which is recognized by Google, Bing and Yahoo as a data standard, to provide high quality rich snippets for the search engine crawlers to more easily find and rank web pages for relevant search results.
More new and updated material for SEO includes updated SEO strategies for both internal and external linking to comply with Google's Penguin update, as well as updated SEO information on optimizing social media, video, blog posts and web page content.
Alexander stated, "Search Engine Academy has always focused on teaching the business owner the required skills with personalized hands-on training, but with all of the newest course material we've just added, our recent attendees have been very pleased both with the course as well as the results they are achieving."
The hands on SEO Workshops were design to focus on building the SEO skills and Social Media skills through training, demonstration, hands-on practice followed by a 6 Month Mentoring program to help ensure the participating business owner has ongoing support and remains in touch with their instructor in case further questions arise. The 6 month Mentoring program is provided to each graduate at no extra cost.
