"This is an essential program for professionals"
Skokie, IL (PRWEB) November 19, 2012
Attend District 30's Toastmasters Leadership Institute beginning 8:30 a.m. Dec. 1, 2012, at the Skokie Holiday Inn, Skokie, Ill. This year's Winter 2012 TLI will feature the presentation "Discovering Your Memory Power" by Robb Zbierski.
A trainer with Freedom Personal Development, Zbierski will show TLI attendees how to use their minds effectively to achieve their personal best at work and in life with a program that will help them remember such things as names and faces, presentations, lists, client information and important details from books, meetings and conversations.
“This is an essential program for professionals,” said Marlene Berger, 2012 Winter TLI dean. “Zbierski has made the same presentation before prestigious clients such as Harley-Davidson, State Farm Insurance, Wells Fargo and the National Association of REALTORS®.”
Zbeirski makes every effort to connect with the audience to help them understand what can be accomplished with the right attitude and work ethic. Among other things, TLI attendees will learn how to improve their current reading speed without losing comprehension. The result of a more powerful memory can reduce stress and lead to higher sales, a boost in confidence and increased referrals and repeat business, according to the speaker.
The day-long institute is an educational opportunity for Toastmasters’ club officers, as well as the membership at large, and the public is invited to attend. Held twice a year, it also features officer training sessions, general communication and leadership skill-building sessions for those who attend.
Among other highlights of the day, professional speaker, business trainer and author Shawn Ramey will present "How to Think and Act Decisively," a program that will show participants how to develop an effective leadership style from the four most common approaches, including improving communication skills and creating a foundation of trust.
The day's keynote speech, "Leadership Lessons from a Taco," will be delivered by Roberto Carmona, president and CEO of Crimson Leadership Group. His humorous presentation on leadership discusses what it takes to achieve positive outcomes and how to take responsibility for meeting hunger-related goals.
Finally, the TLI will include a screening of "Speak," a documentary about public speaking from Tumbleweed Entertainment that centers around finalists in Toastmasters' World Championship of Public Speaking.
Toastmasters Leadership Institute attendance and parking are free, but meals must be purchased and registration is required. Attendees can register on the District’s website, http://www.d30toastmasters.org; or for more information, call Marlene Berger at 630-779-5037. The Skokie Holiday Inn is at 5300 West Touhy, Skokie, Ill.
