
Texas War Bird Club Open House

The Texas War Bird Club located at Fort Worth Spinks Airport in Burleson, Texas is having their first open house of the season on November 17th. The open house will be the first time for future members to come learn about membership opportunities that will allow them to fly in an Aero L-29 Delfin and Aero L-39 Albatross. These two aircraft became the standard jet trainers for the air forces of the Warsaw Pact nations in the 1960’s. Both aircraft were originally built in Czechoslovakia, now can be owned and flown as part of a Texas War Bird Club membership. The open house will allow attendees to speak with properly trained pilots, maintenance staff and office staff. The event will also allow guests to see the L-29 Delfin and L-39 Albatross take flight over the Fort Worth Spinks Airport. The L-29’s scheduled flight time is 1:30pm and the L-39 will follow at 2:30pm. Children are welcome for this event and photos will be allowed to be taken of the jet airplanes exterior and while sitting in the cockpits. Food and bounce house will be on hand. The open house will take place at The Texas War Bird Club Hangar located at Fort Worth Spinks Airport, 450 Alsbury Court, Burleson, Texas 76028. The hangar is located next to the blue FBO building. Doors open at noon.
