We're living in an age of innovation, and nowhere is that spirit more alive than in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) November 16, 2012
On November 30th and December 1, 2012, Philadelphia Magazine will debut ThinkFest, a new event bringing together the region's brightest minds.
Hosted by the Rittenhouse Hotel and open to the public, ThinkFest will feature presentations by thought leaders in medicine, the arts, food, economics, technology, and more.
"We're living in an age of innovation, and nowhere is that spirit more alive than in Philadelphia," said Tom McGrath, Philadelphia magazine's editor. "We're thrilled to bring together the most forward-thinking minds in town for two days of great conversation and discussion."
ThinkFest will kick off on November 30th with keynote speaker and celebrated Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr. As an urban planning genius, a real estate visionary, and an alchemist of ambience, Starr has helped make Center City what it is today. That evening will also feature a cocktail reception honoring 52 Innovative Philadelphians, as spotlighted in the November issue of Philadelphia.
Saturday, December 1st, will feature presentations by an array of thought leaders and visionaries, including renowned cancer researcher Carl H. June; venture capitalist Wayne Kimmel; groundbreaking chefs Michael Solomonov, Marcy Turney, Brad Spence, and Aimee Olexy; Center City District head Paul Levy; William Penn Foundation president Jeremy Nowak; and WPHT radio personality Chris Stigall.
ThinkFest will engage creators and leaders by spotlighting areas such as social entrepreneurship; the global economy; the future of food; the next steps for Center City; Philadelphia's music scene, and more.
ThinkFest is presented by Beneficial Bank and generously supported by Subaru and Drexel University’s LeBow School of Business.
